From Ajmer bus terminus we boarded the bus to Pushkar.

We passed by the beautiful Anna Sagar Lake  which was dug under the patronage of king Anaji Chauhan, who was the grandfather of the last Hindu king  Prithvi Raj Chauhan. Atop the Aravalis  the statue of Prithvi Raj Chauhan seemed to look at the city of Ajmer which was the capital of his kingdom.

The next morning , we proceeded towards the Pushkar lake , in the early hours, to take  the holy dip .

The ancient temple town has evolved in a unique style, while it successfully holds the deep rooted ethos ,the thriving cafes have a European touch ,which cater, to it's foreigner visitors. And the sacred beads  ,  jusxtaposed well with the beautiful Dreamcatchers .

Photography is not allowed inside the temple of Brahma ji , the orange coloured temple represents the fiery attribute of the lord .

There are lots of temples in Pushkar but it can easily be covered in a day , and with some great memories we headed for our next destination .
