From the Amarkantak bus stand, we reserved an auto rickshaw for 200 rupees  to see the kapildhara and dudh dhara waterfalls .  From the Kapil dhara waterfalls the Dudh dhara water fall takes around ten minutes of walking time . The trail is beautiful through the jungles .  The water cascades from the height of a hundred feet and mesmerize us with it's youthful vibe. The misty Air touches the skin amidst the evergreens , and  it is  an absolute oasis of peace in the lap of lush greens. People were bathing in the waterfall and enjoying to the fullest.   After admiring the beautiful waterfalls it was the time to check the remaining attractions of Amarkantak  . Accordingly we headed back, to first stop at the Mai ki bagiya.  It is supposed to be the play ground of Maa Narmada, a small temple is there with many trees the notable among them being the great Banyan tree, and ginger like shrubs of a rare variety of lilies. Our last stop of the day was at the Sonmuda, which is believd to be place of origin of the river son and is popular as the sunrise point . Under the sky and above the hills amarkantak is blessed with the lush  greens . The natural abundance may only swell with the nourishing waters of the Narmada and Son.
