In #Golconda when the Kakatiya rule came to an end with the attack of Alauddin Khilji, it went to the hands of the Bahamanis . The Bahamani ruler had appointed the merchant Sultan Quli, as the governor of Telangana. When the Bahamani kingdom also lost the power , Sultan Quli declared himself an independent ruler and founded the Qutub Shahi dynasty in 1518 .They added the title of  Shah as they were Shia Muslims . The QutubShahi dynasty burial ground is located just 1.5Km away from the #GolcondaFort . The #QutubShahiTombs , the #GolcondaFort and the #TaramatiBaradari makes a local golden triangle . The #QutubShahiTombs are the burial of the royal family members of the Qutub Shahi dynasty . The tombs are beautiful structures with the characteristic Muslim styled dome , some of them are beautified with vibrant blue and green tiles , but much of them are in ruins .   Few tombs also imitates the design of Charminar . Graves of two Hindu sisters who later on converted to Islam , Taramati and Bhagmati can also be found there .They were royal Courtesans and also wife of the fifth ruler Md.Quli Qutub Shah of the Qutub Shahi dynasty. It's a huge burial ground with ample of trees and birds and squirrels . It's probably a favorite picnic place of the locals , so we saw families flocked there with their children , who were running and playing with fun and glee . Plenty of tourists visit the Golconda Fort every day, we recommend them to visit the tombs too . It will be a completely different experience , and we are sure you will definitely like the place .
