The 39th #UNESCOWorldHeritageSite of India is the #RamappaRudreswarTemple which lies in the #Palampet district of #Telengana .

Nearest railway station is
#Warangal/#Kazipet. From #Warangal ,auto rickshaw fare to #Hanamakonda is roughly Rs.20/- per passenger . There are regular government buses available from Hanamakonda bus station (platform 5/6) to #Mulugu . From #Mulugu need to change another bus (bus no. 502) for #RamappaTemple . (bus is scarce in this route , we had to wait for one hour )

Jeep service is available for Rs.100/- per passenger, but for that minimum 10 passengers are needed . It's a remote place, so we saw other tourists had come with personal vehicles.

The majestic
#RamappaTemple is situated amidst paddy fields in a completely pastoral setting . The temple is made of soft sandstone with hard Granite pillars. The raised star shaped base is strong with sandbox technology and the roof is made of light weighed bricks .

It exhibits characteristics of both Dravidian and Nagada style of architecture . The contrasting characteristics of the temple exists in perfect harmony , and makes it a unique one in galaxy of temples .

In around ten minutes walking distance lies the huge
#RamappaLake . Boating rate is Rs.50/- per passenger. Sunset across the lake is breathtaking .

Following the paved path we reached the dead end to find an ancient SHIVA temple, in ruined state , probably destroyed by earthquake .

Water from the
#RamappaLake is channelised through strong gates for irrigational purpose .

We went to
#Palampet to see the renowned #RamappaTemple , but the varied experience we gathered from the place , will be cherished forever .
