The coastal city of #Vizag is unique in the sense that it has both mountain and the sea ..
And ideal vacation for nature lovers , and at the same time , replete with ancient heritage..
We got down at the #Vishakhapatm railway station in the early morning hours, and soaked the cool and calm aura of the place .

We crossed the main road from the railway station and hopped on to a bus going to #Simhachalam .
At the foothills of the #Simhachalam we changed another bus which goes directly uphill to the #NaraSimhaTemple .
It is not known as to who built the #NarasimhaTemple , in the earliest Kakatiya scriptures of around thousand years old, the mention of this temple is there .
From the very beginning it is a revered place , we reached early in the morning, but still had to stand in queue for more than an hour .

The temple may have been subjected to attack , because all the sculptures have been mutilated .
Mythological story refers to Prahlad , the son of the demon king HiranyaKashyap . #Prahlad was a devout devotee of Lord Vishnu , which angered his father to such an extent that his father attempted to murder his own son . #HiranyaKashyap had earned a boon that he could neither be killed during day nor at night , neither by any animal nor any human being, neither by any animate nor inanimate weapon, neither in the sky nor on ground .
Lord Vishnu hence took the fierce form of Narsimha , the face of a lion and the body of a human .
He lifted the demon king on his thighs, and ruptured the body with his nails , at the dusk of the hour on the threshold of a building . Thus overcoming all the conditions of the Boon , Lord Narasimha restored peace and sanity ..

From there we went to RTC Complex and took a bus to #Kailashgiri .
Entrance fee was only five rupees .
We enjoyed the cable car ride to reach the hilltop.
The theme of the #Kailashgiri is very well maintained with manicured Greenery and the huge white statues of Lord Shiva and Parvati at the centre .
This urban park is a perfect family gateway from the busy hustle bustle of city life.
It has all the amenities for full on entertainment .
The view from the cable car is breathtaking . The beautiful cityscape, with the waves crashing on the crescent beach ,is a panorama to behold . The beautiful #RushikondaBeach can be seen from the hilltop..
After visiting the park , we went to #RKBeach , full details of which will be uploaded in the next episode .
